This video is a really good information about driving in Italy, it's not difficult you just need to pay attention to the signs. Beware there are lots of cameras on the highway's and you will be ticketed for speeding or parking violations but you won't know it till you get notification from your rental car company. Most of the communities have parking meters that are at the end of the parking lots or on the streets and you MUST purchase the ticket before you leave the car there.  If you think it's more than you care to deal with contact me and I can arrange a driver for the entire weeks stay or just to get you to and from the airport and then you could drive locally by renting a vehicle at a city near the farmhouse.
